Inheritance of Dust
is an audio installation that offers a visceral critique of the textile industry’s exploitative practices in the subcontinent, where factory floors consume generations, and labor becomes inheritance. The work draws from the relentless rhythm of the silaai (sewing) machine layered with the quiet, strained humming of “bread to breath”- a haunting sonic metaphor for survival, endurance, and erasure.

The piece constructs an oppressive soundscape where the mechanical becomes bodily, and the bodily becomes mechanical. The silaai machine doesn’t stop, its repetition mimics the inescapable cycle of labor, illness, and replacement. Workers inhale dust and chemical residue with each breath; the cost of livelihood is life itself. One generation follows another into the same factory gates, and exits through hospital doors or burial rites.

Constructed Realities
is an installation that stages a fabricated meeting room, complete with table, chairs, a bulletin board, and walls lined with customized fridge magnets and digital prints. At first glance, the setup suggests institutional neutrality: a space for discussion, planning, or consensus. Yet upon entering, it becomes clear that this is not a room for dialogue, but for quiet indoctrination.
Drawing from the aesthetics of digital religiosity and algorithm-driven content, the installation critiques how belief systems, particularly those framed through religious or moral language are curated, consumed, and circulated in online spaces. The fridge magnets display fragments of decontextualized scripture, viral slogans, and algorithm-friendly moral declarations, each one a token of how faith is rebranded in the attention economy.
